Honouring valued employee Simon Yeo: A memorial plaque fitted to one of our fleet

Simon Yeo joined Morrows Logistics in 2017 and quickly became an integral part of the Morrows team as a Driver and Team Leader. In 2019 Simon was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and spent the next few months in and out of hospital for treatment. Simon was a fighter, and was eventually able to return to work in February 2020.

Unfortunately, Simon wasn’t able to return to his beloved truck driving, so moved into a Safety Compliance role to continue to utilise his knowledge within the business. Sadly, Simon’s cancer returned the following year and he retired in December 2021 to spend more time with his family. He continued to be an active part of the Morrows family until he passed away on 27th December 2022.

To celebrate Simon’s birthday in June this year, a memorial plaque was fitted to one of our fleet in honour of Simon's life and legacy. The placement of the memorial plaque is a way for us to remember him, and our driver Ben will be its custodian.

Simon's legacy lives on through his family, with his wife Mandy continuing to be part of the Morrows family and his son Josh carrying on the Yeo name as part of our Noble Park team. We feel privileged that we had the opportunity to work alongside such an incredible person as Simon, who will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Rest in peace Simon - we will always remember your dedication, hard work, and infectious spirit, and your memory lives on through all those whose lives you touched at Morrows.
