Fleet Updates
When a new truck is purchased for the Morrows fleet, it must meet the most up to date environmental standards available. The new trucks in our fleet meet Euro 6 emissions standard, despite the current Australian requirement being equivalent to Euro 5.
While this commitment may cost us a little more initially, this is a longer-term, cost-effective strategy, and of course, much better for our environment.
Storage Facilities
At our temperature controlled warehousing facilities and storage facilities in Keysborough, we recently commenced a significant environmental initiative - the changeover to more efficient LED lighting. By the end of 2020, Morrows has committed to changing all lighting over to LEDs.
A 100kw solar system will also be installed at Keysborough to dramatically reduce our carbon footprint. Once we’ve settled into our second site at Noble Park, we’ll also have similar systems installed in this facility.
